Sigh
Look you’re expressing the point right there: “if you have something useful to say”. And white people just don’t. You can talk about space. You can imagine space. You can go outside and look through a telescope. But it doesn’t make you a fucking astronaut.
Okay. There you go.
You can talk about space. You can discuss it. You don’t have to be an astronaut to have a say about it. I mean hey, your opinion doesn’t matter as much as theirs and you better sit down and spend a lot of time listening to them but you still have an opinion that matters. You can educate yourself on space, learn from others, learn how to make space a little better because no one can deny that it needs the help. Anyone can have an opinion that matters.
Still, won’t change your mind on it and I don’t mind that. I mean I’d love it if you were more willing to have open discussions about this topic where more than one person can talk. I’d even love to have one with you, if you don’t sigh every time I say my thoughts (Even if they seem a little stupid to you. You’ve said things I disagree with and I still respect you.) and are willing to try. I’ll listen, just let me talk and ask questions like my opinion matters or there’s no point to the whole thing.
What I’m getting here and from your other post is that you agree with like, ninety percent of the things I said, but you don’t like my tone.
Tone < Racism. What I have to say is more important than the way I say it. This is a blog, not a kindergarten class.
I get it. You feel steamrolled. You’re hurt. You’ve been told and shown that you matter less because of who you are and how you look.
Welcome to every day of my life.
You want an education, I’m your astronaut. You want to be coddled, I can’t help you, and I can’t respect you either.
